Welcome to the website for the Office of Judicial Affairs. It is our hope that this website can serve as a resource to the Mason community. Here you will find quick links to selected salient University policies, information on the conduct process, and related resources for students, faculty, and staff. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you believe we may be of assistance.

The Office of Judicial Affairs functions within the division of University Life. This office is primarily responsible for resolving allegations of misconduct in a manner consistent with our core values: foster student success, live and act with integrity, show you care, celebrate achievements, lead by example, embrace our differences, dream big, catch the Mason spirit, and the pursuit of lifelong learning.

Sharing our focus is the belief that education has a significant impact on both decision-making and behavior. As such, the Office is continuing to make strides in proactive outreach to assist in the education of the George Mason University community. To that end, we strongly encourage all members of our community to familiarize themselves with Mason’s defined community standards and other applicable policies, as the first step toward a stronger community is an educated community. If you would like information beyond that which is available on our site, please contact us.

MISSION

It is the mission of the Office of Judicial Affairs and the Student Conduct System at George Mason University to turn potential incidents of misconduct into opportunities for the facilitation of education and student development. It is our goal that as student makes their way through the adjudication process, they will leave that process as better educated students, better all around members of the University community, and better global citizens.
